# Disable DNSSEC for a zone

Disable DNSSEC keys and remove associated DNSKEY records for your DNS zone.

This operation is asynchronous. A successful response only acknowledges that the request was accepted — the zone stays signed until the change has fully propagated, which may take several hours to complete.
