# Database as a Service

IONOS Cloud Database as a Service (DBaaS) consists of fully managed databases, with high availability, performance, and reliability hosted in IONOS Cloud and integrated with other IONOS Cloud services.

## Database Engines

We offer the following database engines:

### In-Memory DB

IONOS Cloud DBaaS gives you access to the capabilities of [<mark style="color:blue;">In-Memory DB</mark>](https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/databases/in-memory-db) instances. You can manage In-Memory DB instances, scale the database, patch your database, create backups, and provide security.

### MariaDB

With the help of IONOS Cloud DBaaS, you can use the functionalities of the [<mark style="color:blue;">MariaDB</mark>](https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/databases/mariadb) database engine to scale database resources in the cloud flexibly, improve security, patch the database, and provide redundancy and backups.

### MongoDB

IONOS Cloud DBaaS lets you quickly set up and manage [<mark style="color:blue;">MongoDB</mark>](https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/databases/mongodb) database clusters. You can manage MongoDB clusters, with scaling, security and creating snapshots for backups. The feature offers the following editions of MongoDB to meet your enterprise-level deployments: Playground, Business, and Enterprise. ### PostgreSQL
