Cross Connect

IONOS Cross Connect feature helps you to establish a dedicated connection between Virtual Data Centers (VDCs) located in a specific region (location) using a private LAN. A region (location) refers to a selectable VDC location via the Cloud API or the Data Center Designer (DCD). It can also represent a broader regional grouping, such as de/fra, which comprises the locations de/fra/1 and de/fra/2. Regions are represented in the form of codes, such as, de/fra, de/txl, es/vit, etc.

Important: Cross Connect is currently in the:

• General Availability (GA) phase in the following regions: Berlin (de/txl), Frankfurt (de/fra/1 and de/fra/2), and London (gb/lhr).

• Early Access (EA) phase in all other regions and is available on a restricted early access basis. To access this feature, please contact your sales representative or IONOS Cloud support. We recommend keeping usage and testing limited to non-production, non-critical applications, as there may be a possibility of data loss during the EA phase. Cross Connect is free to use and incurs no additional costs. Cross Connect has its own set of limitations in the EA phase. For more information, see Limitations of Cross Connect.
