# Restoring NFS Datastore Snapshots

In this article you will learn how to restore an NFS snapshot. To do this, proceed as follows:

1. Establish a connection to your IONOS Private Cloud. For more information, see [<mark style="color:blue;">Getting Started</mark>](/cloud/private-cloud/ionos-private-cloud/getting-started/first-steps.md).
2. Open the vSphere Client. You can find instructions on how to do this in the following article: [<mark style="color:blue;">Opening vSphere Client</mark>](/cloud/private-cloud/ionos-private-cloud/administration/open-vsphere-client.md).
3. In the vSphere Client, click on the database icon in the navigation bar on the left (Aria label: Storage).

4. In the navigation bar below the Summary menu item, click on the greater than sign next to the **.snapshot** folder.

5. Click on the greater than sign next to the desired snapshot.

6. Select the folder you want to restore. To restore individual files, select the desired files.
7. Click on **COPY TO**. The Select Destination window is displayed.

8. Select the desired destination.
9. **Optional:** Activate the option **Overwrite files and folders with the same names at the destination**.
10. Click on **OK**.
