## What's new

### [**DBaaS PostgreSQL v2 API in General Availability**](/cloud/databases/postgresql/api/v2-api.md)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 20**

The IONOS CLOUD **DBaaS PostgreSQL v2 API** is now in the General Availability (GA) phase, graduating from Early Access (EA). The PostgreSQL v2 API supports production workloads across all nine IONOS CLOUD regions: Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, Logroño, London, Worcester, Las Vegas, Lenexa, and Newark.

Any IONOS CLOUD contract can now provision PostgreSQL v2 clusters without prior activation—IONOS CLOUD no longer enforces the EA contract whitelist. For information on capabilities and differences from PostgreSQL v1, see [PostgreSQL API Versions](/cloud/databases/postgresql/api/v1-v2-api-versions.md).

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:** The **PostgreSQL v1 API** will be deprecated in an upcoming release. Existing v1 clusters will be automatically migrated to v2—no user action is required. We recommend creating new clusters using PostgreSQL v2 [endpoints](/cloud/databases/postgresql/api/v2-api.md#endpoints) to leverage the new capabilities.

### [**Partner Portal Help Centre reorganised and integrated in IONOS CLOUD Documentation**](https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/partner-program)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 20**

The Partner Portal Help Centre has moved from [Help Centre](https://www.ionos.co.uk/help/partner-program/) to [IONOS CLOUD Documentation](https://docs.ionos.com/cloud) as the [Partner Program](https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/partner-program), bringing it into the same space as the IONOS Public Cloud documentation. The content is organised into four sections: **Partner Categories**, **Partner Registration**, **Partner Portal First Steps** with **User Management**, and **Working with the Partner Portal**. Dedicated pages are available for partner registration, partner categories, user login, and account activation.

### [**Advisory on CVE-2026-43284 and CVE-2026-43500**](/cloud/security-safeguards/vulnerability-register/2026/cve-2026-43284.md)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 18**

Information on the security advisory for **CVE-2026-43284** and **CVE-2026-43500** is now available in the documentation portal. Disclosed on May 7, 2026, this vulnerability, known as **Dirty Frag**, is a local privilege escalation flaw in the Linux kernel affecting the `xfrm-ESP` and `RxRPC` subsystems.

An unprivileged local user can exploit it to gain root access on affected systems, and systems already patched for CVE-2026-31431 remain vulnerable to this separate flaw.
{% endhint %}

### [**Advisory on CVE-2026-31431**](/cloud/security-safeguards/vulnerability-register/2026/cve-2026-31431.md)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 18**

Information on the security advisory for **CVE-2026-31431** is now available in the documentation portal. Disclosed on April 30, 2026, this vulnerability, known as **Copy Fail**, is a local privilege escalation flaw in the Linux kernel cryptographic API subsystem. A logic error allows an unprivileged local user to gain root access on affected systems without requiring memory corruption or race conditions, and a working public exploit is available.
{% endhint %}

### [**Qwen3 VL Reranker 8B is now available in IONOS CLOUD AI Model Hub**](/cloud/ai/ai-model-hub/models/reranking-models/qwen3-vl-reranker-8b.md)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 13**

[Qwen3 VL Reranker 8B](/cloud/ai/ai-model-hub/models/reranking-models/qwen3-vl-reranker-8b.md) is a multimodal reranking model by Alibaba's Qwen team, now available in the
space.vars.ionos\_cloud
AI Model Hub. This model supports over 30 languages and a 32,768-token context window. It scores the relevance between a query and candidate documents from text or image inputs, making it ideal for multimodal search, visual document retrieval, and cross-lingual reranking pipelines.
{% endhint %}

### [**Qwen3 VL Embedding 8B is now available in IONOS CLOUD AI Model Hub**](/cloud/ai/ai-model-hub/models/embedding-models/qwen3-vl-embedding-8b.md)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 13**

[Qwen3 VL Embedding 8B](/cloud/ai/ai-model-hub/models/embedding-models/qwen3-vl-embedding-8b.md) is a multimodal embedding model by Alibaba's Qwen team, now available in the
space.vars.ionos\_cloud
AI Model Hub. This model supports over 30 languages and a 32,768-token context window. It generates 4096-dimensional semantic vector representations from text or image inputs, enabling multimodal search, cross-modal semantic matching, and visual document retrieval.
{% endhint %}

### [**Reranking with IONOS CLOUD AI Model Hub**](/cloud/ai/ai-model-hub/how-tos/reranking.md)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 13**

A new how-to guide is now available for [Reranking with IONOS CLOUD AI Model Hub](/cloud/ai/ai-model-hub/how-tos/reranking.md). The guide walks through retrieving available reranking models, sending text and image documents to the `/v1/rerank` endpoint, and using relevance scores to filter or sort results in two-stage retrieval pipelines.
{% endhint %}

### [**IONOS CLOUD Terraform Provider Achieves Partner Premier Status**](https://registry.terraform.io/providers/ionos-cloud/ionoscloud/latest)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 4**

The
space.vars.ionos\_cloud
Terraform provider now holds [Partner Premier](https://www.hashicorp.com/en/blog/announcing-the-new-partner-premier-tier-for-the-terraform-registry) status in the Terraform Registry. The **Partner Premier** tier recognises providers that meet HashiCorp's highest standards for quality, covering advanced resource lifecycle management, security controls, and data sovereignty capabilities. The designation is visible on the [IONOS CLOUD provider page](https://registry.terraform.io/providers/ionos-cloud/ionoscloud/latest) in the Terraform Registry.
