Additional Data Center is now operational in Frankfurt

We have commissioned an additional data center that extends the Frankfurt, Germany metro region, enhancing high availability, redundancy, and operational security through network connectivity with our existing de/fra location. The data center is designed to deliver scalability, robust data security, and high performance by leveraging state-of-the-art hardware components. For more information, refer to the Service Catalog.

Support for specific products and services

You can now deploy the following products in the new data center using one of the following methods. Existing deployments in Frankfurt remain unaffected:

• Selecting Germany / Frankfurt am Main (de/fra/2) from the drop-down list in the DCD.
• Specifying the location code as de/fra/2 for API-based requests.

New Tutorial for installing Plesk on IONOS CLOUD VMs

A new tutorial for deploying Plesk on IONOS CLOUD Virtual Machines (VMs), using either a pre-configured Plesk QCOW image or the installer, is now available. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up your IONOS CLOUD instance for Plesk installation using one of these methods.

Updated Images and Snapshots Documentation Section

The Images and Snapshots documentation has been relocated from the Block Storage product section and placed directly under the category Backup and Storage. This update aligns with the recent streamlined DCD and is intended to enhance documentation visibility and organization. No changes have been made to product functionality.
