Create a new Nextcloud Workspace, define your user capacity, and set up the initial administrator account. You can create any number of workspaces with your contract.
Prerequisites:
You must have an active IONOS CLOUD account.
You must be logged in to the DCD as a contract owner or an administrator.
To create your Nextcloud Workspace:
1. In the DCD, go to Menu > Sovereign Workplace > Nextcloud Workspace.
2. Select Create Nextcloud workspace.
3. In the Create Nextcloud workspace window, specify the following:
Workspace name: Enter a workspace name (1–40 characters).
Number of workspace users: Specify the number of user licenses (seats) for your workspace. You can also increase it using the up arrow. For more information about how to increase the number of users, see Increase the User Count in Nextcloud Workspace.
Workspace admin email: Provide a valid administrator email address. A password setup link will be sent to the specified address to configure the administrator password for the respective workspace.
4. Review the monthly cost Summary on the right side of the screen.
5. Select Create workspace.

Result:
The new workspace status appears as Deploying in the DCD.
Once the deployment is complete, the status changes to Available, and the designated administrator receives a welcome email with a link to configure password and log in instructions.
You can create and manage groups and users from the Nextcloud interface. For more information, refer to the Nextcloud User management Documentation.

Workspace remains in Deploying state: The status change to Available may take a few minutes to complete. If the status remains pending for an extended period, delete the Workspace and create a new one or contact IONOS CLOUD Support.
