# IPv4 Configuration

Reserve and manage static IPv4 addresses for your Virtual Data Center (VDC). IONOS Cloud allows you to reserve IPv4 addresses for a fee to support your networking requirements. Using the DCD's **IP Management**, you can reserve one or more addresses from an IP block for use across your infrastructure.

**Important:**

* IONOS Cloud reserves random IPv4 addresses; you cannot reserve a specific IPv4 address.
* Reserving and using IPv4 addresses is restricted to authorized users only. Contract owners and administrators may grant privileges to reserve IP addresses.
* An IP address can only be used in the data center region where it was reserved.
