# Edit the IP Address of an IP Failover Group

Modifying an IP failover group lets you update the IP address assigned to the group. You can select a new IP address from the available pool or reserve a new one, and optionally set it as the primary IP address for the group.

1\. In the **DCD**, go to **Menu** > **Virtual Data Centers**.

2\. Select the data center and a LAN to modify an IP failover group within it.

3\. In the Inspector pane, select the **IP Failover** tab.

4\. Click the IP address of the required IP failover group.

5\. The properties of the selected group are displayed.

6\. To change the IP address, click **Change**.

7\. In the dialog box that appears, select a new IP address for **Available IP**.

**(*****Optional*****)** If no IP address is available, select the **+** icon to reserve static IP addresses.

8\. Select **Primary IP** to set the IP failover as the primary IP address. Selecting this option will override the existing DHCP or CRIP setups.

9\. Select **Change IP** to confirm your changes.
