# Manage an IP Failover Group

Managing an IP failover group lets you add or remove NICs from the group, set an NIC as the master, and configure the failover IP address either as a primary or an additional IP address. You can update multiple NICs at once or make changes to individual NICs within the group.

1\. In the **DCD**, go to **Menu** > **Virtual Data Centers**.

2\. Select the data center and a LAN to manage an IP failover group within it.

3\. In the Inspector pane, select the **IP Failover** tab.

4\. Click the IP address of the required IP failover group.

5\. The properties of the selected group are displayed.

6\. Select **Manage** to manage your IP failover group.

7\. In the **Manage NICs in Failover Group** dialog box, you can make the following changes:

* Select **NIC** in the header to select all the NICs as part of the change you want to make.
* Select individual **NIC**s if you want to add them to or delete them from the selected IP failover group.
* Select **PRIMARY IP** to configure the failover IP address either as a primary or an additional IP address.
* Select **MASTER** to set a new master.

8\. Select **Update Group** to confirm your changes.
