### [**UEFI support for Sierra Forest VMs**](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/storage-and-backup/images-snapshots/private-images/transition-private-image-uefi)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 15** All Virtual Machines (VMs) running on Sierra Forest will require a Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) for booting, marking a significant shift as UEFI becomes the mandatory firmware for all Sierra Forest-based VMs. This change ensures a secure and efficient boot process, providing a modern, feature-rich environment compared to the legacy BIOS. For more information about the transition process, see [Transition Private Images to UEFI](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/storage-and-backup/images-snapshots/private-images/transition-private-image-uefi).

### [**Security Product Category in the DCD**](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/readme#security)

{% hint style="success" %}
**May 13** IONOS introduces a dedicated **Security** product grouping with the [new simplified and streamlined DCD](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/release-notes/previous-releases/april-2025#tadanew-simplified-and-streamlined-dcd-interface). This category combines products with related functions, such as [Certificate Manager](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/security/certificate-manager), [Network Security Groups](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/security/network-security-groups), and [SSH Key Manager](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/security/ssh-key-manager), into a single, organized section. With this update, the navigation path within the DCD is revised to reflect the new structure, making it easier for users to locate and access these security functions. The core functionality remains the same, and the updated navigation information can be found in each product's documentation.
