# Update a Certificate

1\. In the **DCD**, go to **Menu** > **Security** > **Certificate Manager**.

2\. From the list of Certificates listed under the **Certificates** tab, select the **NAME** for which you want to view and edit the certificate details.

3\. For the selected certificate, you can view the certificate details. For more information, see [<mark style="color:blue;">View details of a selected Certificate</mark>](https://docs.ionos.com/sections-test/guides/security/certificate-manager/view-certificates#view-details-of-a-selected-certificate).

4\. In the **Certificate Details** > **Properties**,

* For an auto certificate, edit the **Name**, **Key Algorithm**, **Common Name**, or **Subject Alternative Names**.

* For an imported certificate, edit the **Name**, **Certificate**, or **Certificate Chain**.

5\. Click **Edit Certificate** to save the changes made.
