View Snapshots
Once the Snapshot for a storage in the data center is successfully created, the snapshot details are available to view in the Snapshot section.
To view the Snapshot details, follow these steps:
1. In the DCD, go to Menu > Storage & Backup > Images & Snapshots.
2. Select the Snapshot tab in the Manage Images and Snapshots window.
Result: A list of all the Snapshots created is displayed.
View details of a selected Snapshot
1. In the DCD, go to Menu > Storage & Backup > Images & Snapshots.
2. Select the Snapshot tab in the Manage Images and Snapshots window.
3. Select the Snapshot name of which you want to view the detailed information.
Result: The Meta Data, Security, and API details for the selected Snapshot is displayed.
Meta Data: Displays Snapshot details such as Name, Region where the Snapshot is located, Size of the Snapshot, Created date, OS Type, Description of the Snapshot's origin and the associated data center, and Live Vertical Scaling information.
Note: Using Snapshot's API option, you can copy the API endpoint's UUID and HREF and execute the API call.
Security: The Snapshot Name, Created By, Created date and time, Owned By, Updated By, details when the Snapshot was last Updated, and whether or not it is 2-Factor Protected are displayed. It also includes details on whether the Snapshot is Visible to Groups and Visible to Users. Users can share Snapshots with other users, which they can use as a root image for new isntances in other Virtual Data Centers (VDCs) within the given location.
