Create Cloud Savings Plans

You can create multiple Savings Plans under your contract. Ensure you meet all the prerequisites before getting started.

Follow these steps to create a plan:

1. In the DCD, go to Management > Cloud Savings Plans.

2. Select Create savings plan and enter the following details:

• Plan name: Enter a name for your Savings Plan.

• Start date (optional): You can choose a start date:

  • If you select a date, the Savings Plans will begin at 00:00 UTC on that day.

  • If you do not select a date, the Savings Plans begin at 00:00 UTC on the following day.

• Product selection: You can apply your customised Savings Plans to any of the listed products:

  • Compute Engine - Dedicated Core Servers

  • Managed Kubernetes - Dedicated Core Node Pools

• Resources: To create your plans, select the checkbox for each resource you want to cover: Cores and/or RAM. For each selection, define the amount the plan will cover. A separate plan will be created for each resource. Upon selecting the checkboxes, you can modify the number of resources using either the slider or the up-and-down arrow controls in the text box next to the slider.

• Plan term: Select either a one-year or three-year term for your Savings Plans based on your need.

• Payment option: Usage under the Savings Plans is billed monthly.

• Price per unit: The optimized rate applied to each resource unit under the Savings Plans is calculated and displayed, for example, the cost incurred for using each GB of RAM per month. Active Savings Plans automatically bill any covered usage at the plan's rate throughout the term, providing cost predictability and savings.

Info: A summary of your plan will appear in the Summary section on the right side of the window. You can see the cost it incurs per 30-day billing period.

• Click the Cloud Savings Plan purchase conditions to read the terms and conditions.

• Select the I confirm I've read and agree to checkbox when you agree with the terms and conditions.

Note: Plan creation is possible only upon selecting the checkbox.

3. Select Create to create your customized Savings Plans.

Result: Your plan is created and listed in the Cloud Savings Plans overview with the STATUS set to Starting soon. You will also receive a confirmation email to your registered email address.

Next Steps

After creating the Savings Plans, you can edit only the plan's name and view all plans associated with your contract, but you cannot delete an existing plan.
